Timmy Tuesday Newsletter

Welp. It Happened.

Hey. My bad…

First and foremost I have to apologize.

Y’all said, “I want to sign up for this newsletter and get motivation, inspiration, and some problems solved.” And here I am only a few weeks in saying that I can’t deliver on that this week.

I eluded to it a bit last week when I didn’t have a problem solved section because of how many extra hours I’m working (nights and weekends) on a project with a super tight deadline.

I even went as far as to say, “I won’t make a habit of this.”

Well… This past week said HOLD MY BEER and absolutely served me a week that packed every minute of every day. Under normal circumstances I could sneak away here and there to chip away at the week’s newsletter but because of how much I was completely taken over any and all the free time I had went to my family.

My wife and I raise my kids. Not just my wife. Not just me. Us, together. My kids will never remember in a positive light, “Ooh dad can’t hang out right now because he’s writing his newsletter.” What they will see is me building and animation and choosing to step away from it even though they know how stressful it can be, just to spend a few minutes coloring or doing target practice with their nerf guns.

I don’t want this to be a thing. But sometimes work goes ham and I’ll never trade free-time with my family to write a newsletter.

But, now y’all are on the inside circle. I won’t pretend to EVER have it all together with the perfect work/life balance. I’m out here working as much as I can to provide for my family while making sure I’m not absent from said family because of the work I choose to do.

Close:

I hope y’all’s December has been going great. Hopefully lots of time with friends and family. Lots of memories made and old traditions leaned into.

If I haven’t made it clear, I friggin’ love this time of year so much. I can’t wait to wrap this project and do all the Christmas/December type things!

Do y’all have a random Christmas movie you love watching that maybe the rest of the world wouldn’t understand…?

A few years ago my wife and I started watching Office Christmas Party with Jason Bateman… The first year we watched it we laughed a good bit but overall hated it. For whatever reason we decided to watch it again the following year.

Well, year over year we kept that up and now it’s one of the most anticipated Christmas movies we have on our list. It’s now jumped the shark for us and is absolutely hilarious. Mainly because the humor and inside jokes we’ve now associated with it.

Anyway. I’m out. Back to work. j

Sorry again. Hopefully by next week things will have leveled out for me. If you’d like to unsub, I totally get it. I’ll leave the light on for you if you ever want to come back.

I want to:

  • Celebrate your wins.

  • Be inspired by what is inspiring you.

  • Help you with any issue you might have, if I can or if the community can.

  • What’d you think of this week’s newsletter?

Go make something! I’ll see y’all next week!
